- M.Sc., in Transportation from the University of Bradford, England
- Diploma in Economics from the University of Macedonia, Greece
- Diploma in Rural and Surveying Engineering, School of Technology, University of Thessaloniki, Greece
Professional activities
- local Technical Manager in many European Research projects since 1989. The most important of them have been the following: DRIVE I Programme: CASSIOPE; ATT Programme: EUROBUS, INPUT Task Force, FP4 Tr. Telematics: INFOPOLIS, FP4 Transport (DGVII): MUSIC, AIUTO, TRANSPRICE, ICARO, CAMPARIE
- since 1982 involved in numerous transportation projects covering a wide range of areas, such as accident analysis, traffic management, traffic planning, public transport, feasibility studies, etc. During the last 6 years involved in GIS related projects
MAIN AREAS OF INTEREST
- Visiting Research Associate with the Joint Programme in Transportation University of Toronto, in Canada during the period 1985-1987, and at the University of Kentucky, USA for the period October-December 1995
- Teacher at the University of Thessaloniki the following courses: Undergraduate courses (Traffic Engineering, Transport Economics, Road Safety), Graduate courses (Traffic Engineering-Road Safety-GIS applications)
RECENT PUBLICATIONS
- Author of more than 30 papers published in magazines or proceedings of International and Creek Conferences. Approximately 1/3 of them deal with safety issues
