• President of the Card Issuing and Networking Committee (bringing together the national governments of European countries responsible for issuing documents connected with road traffic and for ensuring that the governments are networked up). Since 2005.
• President of the Implementation Policy Committee (bringing together the national governments of European countries responsible for verifying proper implementation of legislation relating to road transportation laws). Since 2005.
• President of the Enforcement Committee (bringing together the national governments of European countries responsible for issuing sanctions in connection with breaches of road transport laws). Since 2005.
• Researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) since 1992
